Joining
a Toastmasters club is easy. Just simply attend any one of our
meetings. If, afterwards, you feel that you could benefit through regular
participation, then we would be pleased to have you join our club. If
you aren't sure yet - no problem. Feel free to visit again. We want you
to feel comfortable with your decision to join our club.
Have you ever paid $120.00, or more, for a one-day seminar? At our club that amount
would cover the semi-annual dues for an entire year. You will
continuously improve and gain confidence. You continue your membership
for as long as you want.
Pricing Information:
There are two costs associated with joining our Toastmasters club. The first is a one time, new member initiation fee of $60.00. For this you will receive, from Toastmasters International, a new members kit. This includes the Communications and Leadership manual. As
well you will receive other manuals including ‘Gestures : Your Body
Speaks’, ‘Your Speaking Voice’ and ‘Effective Speech Evaluation’
You will also receive the monthly magazine, The Toastmaster, featuring
articles in each issue on ways to enhance and improve your
communication and leadership skills.
The Communication and Leadership manual contains your first ten speaking assignments. Each assignment has its own set of objectives. When you have completed each assignment you will have attained the level of Competent Toastmaster or CTM. You will then be able to choose two manuals from the wide selection of Advanced Manuals, each with 5 speech assignments. The
cost of the two Advanced Manuals is also included as part of the
initiation fee. If you should leave Toastmasters for a few years and
then decide to join up again, you do not pay the initiation fee again.
You simply start paying semi-annual dues again. The initiation fee
truly is a one time cost.
The other cost is our Semi-Annual Dues. These are collected and remitted to Toastmasters International every October and April. If
you join our club in the middle of a dues period then you pay dues for
the month you join and each month remaining in that semi annual period.
There is one exception. New members who join in
the last one or two months of a semi-annual dues period, may be asked
to pay for the remainder of the current period as well as for the next
period. This is to prevent us having to ask for additional money one
month after you join.

* Semi Annual Dues are $10.00 per month. Existing member and those that join in either October or April are offered a $2.00 discount for the full six months.
